BERNIE LEE LONG, a friendly, reliable piano (keyboard) player who does not smoke pot, drink alcohol or chat up loose women……………….

Music has given me much pleasure for over 50 years. Even more satisfying is knowing that my playing has given many others entertainment and enjoyment.

It all began back in 1951 when I joined two cousins (one a saxophone player and one a drummer). We became well known in Innisfall and North Queensland as the "THREE BLIND MICE" and for 16 years played at almost every dance, cabaret, debutant ball, wedding and party in the district.

When the Three Blind Mice disbanded I formed another group PHASE 4 and continued for another 16 years. This time the band was made up with Piano, Bass, Drums and Vocalist.

In the early 1980's after a move to Cairns and addition of a guitar player the band became TAKE 5. Then in the mid 1990's my original saxophone player rejoined our group. We still play together as TAKE 5 and have performed at corporate functions at most of Cairns popular venues including Cairns International Hotel, Cairns Convention Centre, Cairns Radisson, Cairns Hilton, Colonial Club and the Reef Casino.

At many functions we were often asked to back visiting international artists and were often support group for well known entertainers like Col Joye, Chelsea Brown, The Seekers, James Morrison and others.

Are you looking for a piano player for a quiet wedding or dinner party and play (almost) anything from Jazz, Latin or Blues, to Country, Rock and Roll, Old time or New Vogue.
